Bar and Corkage
We offer a significant saving on the cost of drinks with a generous ‘free corkage’ option. You can buy your wines elsewhere and then only pay for the cost of the bar staff at Manor Hill House to serve them at your reception and at the wedding breakfast tables. The staff will also be available to run a pay bar service for you if you wish to offer a wider choice and further reduce costs.
We recommend the independent wine merchants, Malpas Stallard of Worcester, for the purchase of wines. They offer, on a sale or return basis, an excellent selection of wines to suit all tastes and budgets and the proprietors, Nigel and Jeannie Smith, will be pleased to arrange a wine tasting for you and help with your choice. Our ‘free corkage’ service for wines means savings of significant sums compared with other venues which charge hotel bar prices. Beers, lagers and spirits are to be provided solely by Manor Hill House and will be available for purchase from the ‘Cooksey Bar’ at competitive prices.
The charge for offering a ‘free corkage’ service and optional pay bar is based on the maximum number of guests who will be present at any time during the day:
- 0 – 40 guests 1 member of staff
- 40 – 80 guests 2 members of staff
- 80 – 120 guests 3 members of staff
Each member of staff will be charged at £70 per day.
