Food & Drink
Our catering team are passionate about delivering delicious food. We only ever use fresh produce of the highest quality, which is locally sourced wherever possible.
We like our clients to work with our dedicated chefs to design bespoke menus, which are of a style and price to suit their requirements. Whether you have a distinct idea of the food you would like or just know you need to feed your guests and need advice and guidance as to what might work well, your meeting with our chef will help make the choices easier.
Where guests have special dietary needs, we will produce food specifically for them ensuring that they, like all of your wedding party have a truly great dining experience.
Manor Hill Weddings offers significant savings on the cost of drinks. You can take advantage of our generous free corkage allowance and bring in your own wines. Alternatively, you may find it easier to buy your drinks from Malpass Stallard at competitive prices on a sale or return basis, or why not leave all of the hard work to us by purchasing our very affordable drinks package for your guests.
Manor Hill also runs an all-day pay bar with drinks being sold at 'local pub prices'.
Please note: Your guests may not bring their own drinks in to Manor Hill.
Please note: If alcohol is given as a favor at the wedding table there will be a charge made by Manor Hill House
Can I Bring In My Own Drinks?
The free corkage allowance is set at an average of two glasses of sparkling wine for the reception, an average of two glasses of wine with the meal and one glass for the toast with a suitable soft drink alternative.
Other drinks such as Pimms, bottled beer or cocktails may be used to replace any of the wine allowance during the ‘ Free Corkage’ period of your wedding, subject to agreement with Manor Hill. It is a requirement these alternative drinks are purchased through Manor Hill Cellar.
Any bottles opened in excess of the allowance will incur a corkage charge of £10 per bottle.
Once the meal ends, tea and coffee are served, or evening guests start to arrive all drinks are required to be purchased through our pay bar. Any of the couple's wines or complimentary drinks not used by this time will be carefully packed away ready for collection the following morning.
Option 1 – Bring in Your Own Wines
You have the option to purchase your own wines for your reception, the meal and your toast and bring the bottles to our venue. We will take delivery, store, prepare and serve your drinks throughout your wedding day at Manor Hill until the end of the wedding breakfast.
Option 2 – Purchase from Malpass Stallard
Malpass Stallard are a local wine merchants who offer advice and guidance along with competitive prices on a sale or return basis. This option can only be used in conjunction with the free corkage allowance. A wine sampling appointment can be arranged at Malpass Stallard in Worcester and Malpass Stallard will assist in calculating the number of bottles you may need. If you wish to give alternative drinks to wine with your compliments for the reception, meal or toast (e.g. Pimms, bottled beer or cocktails etc.) Manor Hill House will arrange for these to be pre-purchased at competitive prices. Please discuss your requirements with us at your wedding planning meeting.
Is It Easier To Have A Drinks Package For My Wedding Guests?
With everything else to organise for your wedding day sometimes it is easier to leave things in the hands of the professionals, and when it comes to your drinks you can do just that.
Instead of taking advantage of our free corkage you can purchase your drinks for your guests through Manor Hill House and we will take care of all of the purchasing for you, as well as ensuring the drinks are here ready for you saving you trips to buy them. Not only that but we also take away the risk of over or under buying as we know just how much you will need.
