Our team have been taking on lots of information lately with training courses on food hygiene and the bar.
Our group shot shows just how many of our waiting and kitchen staff went on a recent food hygiene course run by HIT training, and all passed with high scores.
It is important to us that our staff are fully trained in all aspects of their job, and take pride in what they do.
In the food hygiene course they learnt about food safety, cleanliness and storage of food and food service equipment.
We know that most waiting staff don't get to be a part of this kind of training but we feel it benefits our customers, our venue and the staff themselves who can now have an extra qualification on their CV.
The courses were also attended by our wedding and events organisers and co-ordinators who are the people who are responsible for supervising the team.
A number of the team also attended a course for their personal bar license, and passed with over 90% each (yes we are showing off now).
Whilst we are only required to have one license holder by law, having more people who have undertaken the course and are fully up to date with the laws and guidance means that we know we always have people on hand who are both responsible and fully aware of the licensing laws.
We love all of the reviews that say how smart, friendly and helpful our team are, but we aren't just a pretty face you know!!
Charley attended a further course on 25th May with the British Red Cross and successfully completed her First Aid at Work Course.
Charley spent 3 days at the Worcester Red Cross Centre and enjoyed meeting everyone who attended whilst learning lots about first aid at work.
Congratulations on another successful pass Charley, we will need more wall space for all of the staff certificates at this rate!!
