Dreaming of a Christmas wedding?
Let us show you how Worcestershire is in the winter time
Winter weddings have a lot going for them. Yes, summer weddings sure are stunning but there are some downsides to consider. Sweltering heat could make a hot mess of a bride's carefully coiffed wedding hairstyle. And with a hectic itinerary packed with other summertime nuptials, some guests might be forced to RSVP 'no' to your warm-weathered bash. Bummer, right? But with a winter wedding, you can avoid all that and get stunning wedding photos, holiday-themed wedding decorations, and more.
Being a winter bride or groom is basically the best.
Think roaring fires, twinkling lights, frosty mornings, and delicious hearty food, and above all the possibility of snow! In fact, with all the good cheer and celebrating, the wedding spirit is very much in the air.
If you’ve been contemplating a winter wedding celebration here at Manor Hill House, you’ve come to the right place. Here are our 5 top reasons why you should have your wedding at winter / Christmas time.
Winter time is a relatively less busy time of the year to get married, with many couples picturing the ideal summer wedding with late light evenings and warm sunshine. As a result the summer months book up faster and come with a higher exclusivity fee. If you are looking to save money, most venues offer their venues for a lot less money including Manor Hill House from November to February. You'll have more flexibility to come in and set up early, as likely there will not be another event right after yours that the venue needs to prep for right away.

Although the time of year might not be the reason you chose a winter wedding, there are many benefits to a celebration aligned with the Christmas holiday period. For example, we decorate the venue with a real Christmas tree with silver baubles and there are twinkly lights put up all around the place – all of this at no cost to you! Of course you can bring in more decorations and even your own baubles if ours do not match your theme, we want the venue to feel like yours for your day.
Travel and hotel stays are at peak pricing in the summer, when school is out and families take their holidays. Winter weddings allow guests to take advantage of off-season pricing for their travel and accommodation options. This is a win-win for everyone!
It’s something that many couples just won’t think about. This means your wedding will be memorable and unique!
Forget summer weddings, helplessly crossing your fingers for a dry day or hoping that people won’t have already booked their summer holiday. You won’t have to compete against as many people for your wedding date either.
From colour palette to flowers and décor, there are elements of the season to inspire your theme that will stand out in a sea of peonies. Embrace the season by throwing blankets over guests' chairs or keep them warm by serving a hot signature cocktail.
Plus, the coming of colder weather will forever remind you of your wedding day – so you’d better make it a good one!
“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”
Imagine a white-iced wonderland curling and circling across the church or over the rolling countryside and your reception. Even if it doesn’t snow, conjure up the image of a crisp, golden, frosty morning, with the grass crunching underfoot. Imagine the smell of pine; perfect snuggling weather.
Some people seriously don't deal well in the heat. It makes them irritated, cranky, and not to mention, a sweaty mess. You can always add layers to combat the cold, but in the hotter months, well, you can't exactly take off your clothes. If you're stressed about being hot and sweaty for your wedding photos, then a winter wedding is perfect for you.
